Let us Learn to distinguish between things that Differ, Phil 1:10 Literal Translation
Greetings
This is a Portal Site, the Outer Court where I Share what I can here of my 40 plus years of diligent Study. This site is not about me but you can click "My Story" in the Menu if you would like to read my Testimony and Journey. Of course my story just like this site is under constant construction!
Notice the Alpha Omega symbols on the pages?
This site is just one of many Alpha sites that you find online dealing with the Beginning, the First Principles, the abc's, but hopefully, helps us come to a Deeper Understanding of what is being Said and prepares us for some Omega Revelation.
It also contains some what you could call Omega Teaching which simply points to: You, therefore, must be perfect growing into complete maturity of godliness in mind and character, having reached the proper height of virtue and integrity], as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:48 AMPLIFIED Classic translation)
There is a lot to share about the concept of "Perfection" as goal and a Marker of our progress on the Journey from Nepios to Huios; from child to Son of Full Stature.
In-Joy the Journey, Marion D. Williams
My choice of the Farm image: to me it depicts what Jesus states, that The parable of the Sower is the most important of all to understand all His Teachings.
The Alpha/Omega icon: Frist, a Revelation for you if you are not familiar, Love is the Good Ground in the Parable of the Sower. And, The Alpha and Omega of all sincere religion is Love.
The Approved Workman image: Understanding what is meant in 2 Tim 2:15 is such a Necessity. Look at the material in the next drop down below, where just by taking apart one word in the verse you can get an Idea of how Deep most of verses really are.
This site is about helping those who are ready to Reconciliation, Maturity, and Sonship. Deep Calleth unto Deep..
Jesus Stated that He came Near [ #2064 erchomai ] to give LIFE [ #2222 Zoe ] and that Life was found on the other side of the Strait Gate along the Narrow Way, John 10:10b and Matthew 7:14. Let us Study to [show-#3936=paristēmi / paristanō. Means to to cause to stand near or before; to stand near or before, to be present.] 2 Tim 2:15a
Why the meaning of Stand within the Greek word translated "shew or show" in 2 Tim 2:15? Let's look directly at Strong's Concordance and see if we can "SEE" more: G3718 - orthotomeō Pronounced "or-thot-om-eh'-o"
From a compound of G3717 and the base of G5114; to make a straight cut, that is, (figuratively) to dissect (expound) correctly (the divine message): - rightly divide.
Look at G3717: G3717 - orthos Pronounced or-thos'
Probably from the base of G3735; right (as rising), that is, (perpendicularly) erect (figuratively honest), or (horizontally) level or direct: - straight, upright.
How about G3735: G3735 - oros Pronounced or'-os
Probably a from an obsolete word ὄρω orō (to rise or “rear”; perhaps akin to G142; compare G3733); a mountain (as lifting itself above the plain): - hill, mount (-ain).
And now G142: G142 - airō Pronounced ah'ee-ro
A primary verb; to lift; by implication to take up or away; figuratively to raise (the voice), keep in suspense (the mind); specifically to sail away (that is, weigh anchor); by Hebraism (compare [H5375]) to expiate sin: - away with, bear (up), carry, lift up, loose, make to doubt, put away, remove, take (away, up).
And Finally "H" for a Hebrew word or Old Testament version of this word: H5375 nâśâ' nâsâh Pronounced naw-saw', naw-saw'
A primitive root; to lift, in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively, absolutely and relatively: - accept, advance, arise, (able to, [armour], suffer to) bear (-er, up), bring (forth), burn, carry (away), cast, contain, desire, ease, exact, exalt (self), extol, fetch, forgive, furnish, further, give, go on, help, high, hold up, honourable (+ man), lade, lay, lift (self) up, lofty, marry, magnify, X needs, obtain, pardon, raise (up), receive, regard, respect, set (up), spare, stir up, + swear, take (away, up), X utterly, wear, yield.
If you Study hard enough and long enough you will come to find other Disciples have long understood that this verse is about Raising the Dead Letter into the Living Word. Lifting the horizontal Word out of its coffin and Standing it Upright in Its Divine Context. Lifting the Logos.
The Greek Language is too Elaborate to be contained within the King James or any truncated translation and still bring forth the Depth of the Original Meaning(s) contained in the Manuscripts.
Here is the translation of 2 Tim 2:15 from Jonathan Mitchell: Make haste, with earnest endeavor and diligence, to place yourself alongside as an approved workman in God (or: to present yourself to God as a tried and approved workman), one without cause for shame, consistently cutting a straight [path cf Prov. 3:6 & 11:5, LXX in, or with] the Word of the Truth (or: habitually cutting an upright and erect [line through] the Word of Truth; continually cutting with the Word of truth in a straight direction; constantly making a straight cut or: wound with the speech of the Truth; also = dealing straightforwardly with the discourse of the Truth; repeatedly dividing and marking out straight boundaries by the Word of Truth).
The Logos is in effect dead or asleep just as we are when we are born as Spiritual Beings into this body, soma, of flesh. We have to be Awakened out or our coffins as well. Being Woke is a very good thing: "Wake up from your sleep, Climb out of your coffins; Christ will show you the light! Ephesians 5:14 Message Translation
We'll leave this one word translated "show" in 2 Tim 2:15 with a warning from the Wisdom Teachings: "The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead, Proverbs 21:16 KJV.
